"Fashionable" Kangana

Film-maker Samir Karnik was recently in a crisis situation. And the person who came to his aid was none other than Kangna Ranaut.

Samir wanted to cast a heroine for his film. However, the problem was that his film had just two days of shooting left for completion. In such a short notice no designer was available to style Kangna. So, Kangna took it upon herself to do the styling thus helping Samir out of the desperate situation. Without her intervention, the shooting might have got delayed causing losses to the project.

A source says, "It's a surprise that the first schedule of Samir's Vaada Raha began even before a female lead was finalised. Every night after pack up, Samir and his team would discuss the choice of actors. Kangna proved to be the best option. By the time Samir zeroed in on her, it was almost the end of the schedule with just two days of shooting left. So, with hardly any time left, Kangna came to shoot in clothes from her own wardrobe."
Samir says, "Kangna was a thorough professional and the best choice for the film. Audiences will be surprised at how different she looks in this role."

Apart from Kangna, Vaada Raha stars Bobby Deol and child actor Dwij Yadav. But this isn't the only film that's keeping Kangna busy.

She says, "I've signed a two-film deal with Pritish Nandy Communications. The first one is with Amitabh Bachchan. I'm waiting for the second script now."

With many other projects like No Problem, Once Upon A Time in Mumbai, Tanu Weds Manu, Kites, Actor (with Amitabh) and an untitled film with Sanjay Dutt, Kangna surely has her hands full.

Recently, she also got herself a BMW 7 series, a model which incidentally her ex-boyfriend Adhyayan Suman also owns.

"My choice of car had nothing to do with Adhyayan," she says, adding, "It's white in colour with beige interiors. Those are my favourite colours in a car. Also, I wanted 5 on the number plate because it's lucky for me. It's probably my biggest purchase of late. What I enjoy the most is the silence inside the car while I am driving back home after a hectic day."
